The ground floor of The First Port is taken up with the Island Café.  

Providing an all day breakfast, coffees and snacks, lunches..light or substantial.. and dinners.Also a wide ranging takeaway menu including fish and chips, curries, sandwiches, soup and organic soft drinks.

The Cafe' can cater for all your eating needs whether staying on Coll or sailing by. There is a comprehensive menu and frequently refreshed Specials Board.

We always have a variety of soups on offer and home made bread to go with them. Our salads are the talk of the island. We feature Coll Beef and all our meat is Scottish.

Puddings are all homemade....Steamed Syrup, Chocolate, Bread and Butter,and Bakewell.Not to mention Knickerbocker Glories, Banana Splits and Fritters along with 'specials' such as Banoffee, Lemon Meringue.....

Our Organic Wines ,Beers, Ciders,Spirits, Soft Drinks, Teas and Coffees all add to the feelgood factor!

We finish serving dinner in the Summer 7-30ish with Sundays late lunch winding up at about 6-00 for last orders.

Wherever possible Coll meat and fish are used and during the growing months virtually all our salad and vegetables are grown on Coll. Most of the year we use Coll potatoes, while supplies last, and with these we make our own chips. We make a lot of chips.

Sundays have become a year round feature on Coll with our late lunch. Here we serve the traditional roast with a great big Yorkshire Pudding and homemade puddings like Lemon Meringue,Scots Flummery and Shortbread, Banoffi or Cheeses and Oatcakes, for £12-50 .......a two course feast with guaranteed satisfaction and good company! Just like Sundays should be. Wise to reserve a table though as most folk do and The Cafe can be fully booked before Sunday arrives.

Featured on the drinks menu are Cairn o' Mohr Scottish Country Wines and we hope many will feel inclined to try them, as we were (!) , and be delighted by their absolute ability to be consumed with a meal just as well as any grape wine. These wines come from Errol..in Perthshire..and are made of Scottish and hand picked ingredients.

The soft drinks we serve are Cola,Lemon,Cranberry, Ginger, Blackcurrant, Orange, Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Milk and Water. They are all organic, as is the Drinking Chocolate, and very popular with children and parents alike, avoiding the effects of additives.........that goes for the alcoholic drinks too!

The Cafe has a huge range of videos to be borrowed, loads of books to borrow or buy, a football table for older children and toys for younger. There is a sofa by the fireplace and sea loch views from the windows.There are two rooms and we can cater for your group with a special menu given notice...such as Italian or Curries or Roast.

We cater for parties of all sorts..Birthday, Weddings, Head Wettings, Christenings to name but a few.
